You can stay at home again and hand out corn candy to ninjas and ladybugs, because that’s big fun OR…you can join tens of thousands of other tuned-in music fans on a white sand beach, groovin’ to a killer lineup of bands from around the world wrapped in the balmy breezes of the Gulf of Mexico. So is there really any question about where you’d rather be?

Throughout the entire SPI Music Fest weekend, more than 10 venues across the island will showcase an incredible array of artists (more than 40 acts!) from Texas, the U.S. and the world. In its inaugural year, the festival quickly became popular with both musicians and fans for the amazing combination of world class entertainment and the relaxed vibe of the beach. It is a tropical tunes brew totally unique to SPI Music Fest that you must experience to believe!

Clear, warm, turquoise water. Surf just up enough for a little easy carving. Miles of gorgeous, crowd-free, white sand beaches. Sunny 80˚ days. Breezy 70˚ nights. Windsurfing, kiteboarding, scuba diving, and sea kayaking. Bay, shore, and deep-sea fishing. Unspoiled dunes, leaping dolphins, and bikinis in November. Cold beer, margaritas, and piles of tasty Gulf shrimp. Can you feel it, see it, taste it?! Music fest settings don’t get any better anywhere!

Sea Turtle, Inc. was founded in 1977 by Ila Loetscher, better known as "The Turtle Lady of South Padre Island." STI was formed to aid and assist in the protection of Kemp's Ridley Sea Turtle - and to ultimately restore the Ridley population to a level that will ensure its survival. Through the years STI has expanded its scope to actively support the conservation of all marine turtle species. To achieve its goals, STI provides educational programs to schools, tourist bureaus, civic organizations and new media.
