Venue Capacity Information

All SPI Music Fest venues are limited by capacity and admittance will be allowed on a first-come, first-serve basis with VIP and ”Weekend Pass” ticket holders given entry first.

Tickets

Tickets provide access to all Festival venues.

3-Day and Single-Day ticket holders must exchange a valid ticket for a weekend wristband. Wristbands are non-transferable, non-exchangeable and cannot be replaced. Wristbands must be worn for entry into the Festival.

Children 10 and under are free when accompanied by a ticket-holding adult. You must be 18 years or older to enter “The Backyard” venue.

All venues and hotels used during SPI Music Fest are ADA compliant.

Allowed/Prohibited Items

Guests and their belongings are subject to search upon entry or re-entry. You can help keep the lines moving quickly by leaving large bags at home. Please return for any additions or amendments at each venue.

You may bring in the following items:
  • Blankets
  • Umbrellas (small hand-held style)
  • Baby Strollers
  • Regular-size/unframed backpacks
  • Personal camera equipment (i.e. small digital cameras or point-and-click 35mm cameras). Cameras with any type of detachable lenses are prohibited.
    The following items are prohibited:
  • Weapons of any kind
  • Illegal substances (including narcotics) or drug paraphernalia
  • Framed or large backpacks
  • Alcohol (alcohol will be sold at the Festival)
  • Glass containers
  • Food or beverages
  • Skateboards, scooters, or personal motorized vehicles
  • Bicycles inside Festival grounds (bike racks are available near each entrance)
  • Carts
  • Large chains or spiked jewelry
  • Fireworks
  • Explosives
  • Large umbrellas
  • Non-collapsible chairs
  • Hard-sided coolers
  • Tents
  • Pets (except service dogs)
  • Video equipment: No video recording will be allowed.
  • Professional still camera equipment (no detachable lenses, no tripods, big zooms, or commercial use rigs)
  • Audio recording equipment
  • No illegal vending is permitted. No unauthorized/unlicensed vendors allowed.
  • Unauthorized solicitations, handbills, sampling, give-aways, etc
  • Metal aerosol containers, including sunscreen

Wristband Redemption

Patrons can redeem their 3-day tickets for wristbands prior to the festival at the Official SPI Music Fest Box Office (located at Schlitterbahn) . Doors open at 3 pm on Friday, and 11 am Saturday and Sunday.

Wristband Policy
Festival Pass ticket holders must exchange their ticket for a weekend wristband and will be allowed to enter the Festival venues per Venue Capacity policies.

Re-entry/Ins & Outs

3-day ticket holders must exchange a valid ticket for a weekend wristband and then will be allowed to enter the Festival venues per Venue Capacity policies.

Wristbands MUST be worn at all times for entry into the Festival.

Wristbands are non-transferable, non-exchangeable and cannot be replaced. They cannot be removed and must be worn all three days to allow entry. Please do not remove, stretch or tamper with your wristband in any way or you will not be allowed entry (and that will make us sad). If the wristband is tampered with or mangled it cannot be replaced.

Lost & Found

During the Festival, look for lost items at the Lost & Found booth at Schlitterbahn. Valuables will be held for 30 days and then given to a local charity. SPI Music Fest will not be held liable for any unclaimed items.

Security & Safety

We are making every effort to create a safe and secure environment at each festival venue. Onsite security and safety will be provided SPI Music Fest and through a working relationship with the Town of South Padre Island.

If you need any Emergency medical staff assistance, look for a police officer or Festival staff member.

If contemplating what monetary currency to bring, consider the following facts: There are ATMs at several locations throughout the Island with applicable service fees. Also, remember to keep your valuables safe and secure! The most popular items turned in at Lost and Found are credit cards, IDs, and wallets.

Travel, Hotels, and Camping

For hotel rooms on South Padre Island, check Where to Stay and Play for hotels. There is no on-site camping at the Festival. If you prefer sleeping under the stars, visit www.texasoutside.com for area campsites.
